It’s a BOY!

The Gender is…

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Tom and I are having a baby BOY!!!! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿผ

Wow… We will finally have a son. That’s pretty cool (and scary) to think about. We are over the moon excited, and we honestly would have been happy no matter what the gender, but of course, we are so thrilled that we are adding a little baby boy to the mix! I think any more pink and sparkle would have pushed this daddy over the edge… ๐Ÿ˜‚ ย The other night he was wearing multiple necklaces, a tutu and a beautiful crown while dancing to “Let It Go” from Frozen and “Tale As Old As Time” from Beauty and the Beast. I mean the things you do for your girls! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Now, I have to say… I am not surprised. I KNEW from day one that this little baby was a boy. You can say “mother knows best” but this pregnancy was so BEYOND different compared to my first two pregnancies it was almost obvious that it was a boy. With the first two, I was nauseas 24/7. It NEVER went away until about 23 weeks which is way into the 2nd trimester. I felt miserable. Food was disgusting to me and if I saw meat or even got a whiff of it, I would be in the bathroom. There were a couple other similarities but I don’t want to bore you! Regardless, both pregnancies were the exact same; however, my third pregnancy, is totally different.

For this pregnancy, I was only nauseas in the 1st trimester and only when it was around meal time and once I ate, the nausea went away. I am literally hungry 24/7. I CRAVE protein and salt and nothing seems to satisfy this hungry feeling. Praying I don’t gain 100 pounds by the end because this boy likes to eat! I’m also much more tired in this pregnancy than I was with my girls, but maybe it’s because I’m constantly chasing the crazies around and never am able to sit down.

Anyways, we are so thrilled to be adding some blue into our life and experience what it is like to have a son. He will be greeted into this crazy family with so much love, and be eaten alive by his two sisters… they will mother him and dress him up and feed him and just squeeze him with so much love. I cannot wait to see that relationship grow. However, Vivienne is still insisting she is having another sister… ๐Ÿ˜‚ so she is in for a big surprise!

I have stated this before, but I am a young mom and come March I will haveย 3 kids 3 and under! We are just soaking up every second in this chapter of our lives. Motherhood is one of the greatest challenges you will ever go through in life, but it’s also one of the most rewarding. I can get all sappy and go into what it means to be a mother, but I’ll leave you with some very wise words I was once told:

“This part of life is a season and this season will soon pass. Enjoy it while it’s here. The babies, the diapers, the sleepless nights, the planning and scheduling, the hectic chaos you call life. The days are long but the years are short. Enjoy today mama – it will all be over before you know it. Relish the charms of the present because this season in life will soon pass.”

When you’re in it, you’re already in it! There is never a perfect time to have a baby.

We want 5 kids and number 3 happened a bit quicker than we had planned but we are so excited. We are already in the thick of parenthood so what’s one more? Enjoy whatever season of life you are in and stay present in the moment. It all goes by so fast.

I cannot wait to meet this little boy and I’m also so excited to continue to share this incredible journey with you all. As always, thank you for following our story. โค๏ธ
